Resentment of the Day: Sympathy for the Boston Bomber?
Similar to the James Holmes fandom that emerged after the Aurora Theater shooting in July 2012, sympathy for the Boston Marathon Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is spreading on social networking sites. On Facebook, there are discussions of Tsarnaev’s innocence reportedly taking place in a private group with more than 13,000 followers, while the hashtag #FreeJahar has been mentioned nearly 10,000 times in the past five days on Twitter as well as on Instagram. What’s even more disturbing is that not all of the sympathizers seem to be tinfoil hatted conspiracy theorists, but also includes quite a few teenage girls who apparently find Tsarnaev attractive.

well, he is cute and have the same shirt with me, but he’s a bomber.
